Allan, thanks for your response and the compliments to the article.

I guess I like to think that even if I never got to see any results from reclassifying chimps, I would still want to see that happen. Progress often happens when and where we least expect it. And sometimes, it looks like we’ve fallen over or taken a few steps backwards. But then we get up, dust ourselves off and continue on.

It’s kinda like the stock market. The market always recovers. And our society, over the long haul, keeps moving ever slightly politically left. Gender rights, no slaves, and the list goes on.

So it hits my “Do the right thing” button. I never worry about what others think when that button is activated. It’s just right and I do it. Period.
