I love your mispelling of the word metamorphic! But I totally get what you're trying to say there. There's always lots of parallels between life cycles across all forms of life. That is why we have so many different model research organisms like fruit flies, zebra fish, nematodes etc. And we have learned so much about our own molecular pathways by seeing the similarities we have with them. Also the major differences which is why there are so many fascinating creatures out there.
